Custom Build Agreement

Made-to-Order Agreement

Thank you for choosing Geek Keyboard for your custom builds. Custom keyboards and keycaps are highly personalized, made-to-order products. By placing an order for any custom service or product on our website, you acknowledge and agree to the specific manufacturing tolerances, color variances, and our revision policies outlined below.

Manufacturing Tolerances & Expectations

Custom Keycaps (Dye-Sublimation)

Our custom keycaps utilize the Dye-Sublimation (热升华) process. While this ensures highly durable legends, it comes with inherent physical limitations:

  • Color Accuracy (85% - 95% Match): Digital mockups use RGB light, whereas physical keycaps use physical dyes. For most colors, we can achieve up to a 95% match to your design.
  • Special Note on Gray: Gray is notoriously challenging to reproduce accurately in dye-sublimation. If your design includes gray, please anticipate a color variance of 10% to 15%. We will always calibrate our machines to achieve the closest possible result.
  • Legend Alignment: Due to thermal expansion during the high-temperature process, minor shifts (within 0.5mm) of legends/icons may occur.

Custom Keyboards

Custom keyboards are assembled and tuned specifically to your selected configuration:

  • Internal Machining Marks: CNC machined cases may have minor hook marks or slight anodization inconsistencies on the inside of the case. These are invisible when assembled and are not considered defects.
  • Acoustic Variations: Keyboard sound profiles are subjective and vary based on your desk material and environment.

Revision & Refund Policy

Because custom items are manufactured specifically for you based on your unique design, they cannot be resold to other customers. Therefore, the following rules apply:

  • Order Cancellation Window: You may cancel or modify your custom order within 24 hours of placement. Once this window passes, materials are allocated, and production begins.
  • Post-Production Cancellations: Orders cannot be canceled or fully refunded once production has started.

COMMITMENT TO SATISFACTION & REVISIONS

We want you to love your custom build! While we generally do not offer direct refunds for "change of mind" on custom products, your satisfaction is our priority. If you are unsatisfied with the final product (e.g., the color differs from your expectations), please contact us! We are more than happy to work with you to modify, adjust, or remake the product until it meets your expectations. By purchasing, you acknowledge our 85%-95% color tolerance (and specific gray variance), but rest assured we are here to make it right.

Defective Items & After-Sales Service

We stand behind the functional quality of our products. Full replacements or necessary parts will be provided for the following situations:

  • Functional Defects: Dead PCBs, non-registering keys, or broken hot-swap sockets upon arrival.
  • Transit Damage: Severe physical damage to the exterior case or broken keycaps caused during shipping.
  • Incorrect Fulfillment: We built the keyboard with the wrong switches or printed the completely wrong design.

* Mandatory Requirement: You MUST record a continuous, unedited unboxing video showing the sealed package being opened and the issue being demonstrated. Without an unboxing video, we reserve the right to deny the warranty claim.
